Isabella Leroy is a Postdoctoral researcher within the DISSECT project initiated by Prof. Marie-Bénédicte Dembour. Her research currently examines evidentiary regimes in international human rights adjudication (European Court of Human Rights, African Court of Human and Peoples’ Rights, Inter-American Court of Human Rights).
Prior to joining the Human Rights Centre, her PhD focused on the legal-spatial regulation of refugee camps in Europe from the perspective of two case studies: the informal refugee camps in Calais (France) and the CETI reception centre in Melilla (Spain). She is particularly interested in interdisciplinary and empirical approaches to human rights and migration law, especially those adopting a Critical Legal Geography angle.
