Launch of the new website of the Coalition Against SLAPPs in Europe (CASE)

Launch of the new website of the Coalition Against SLAPPs in Europe (CASE)

On 26 March the website ‘CASE’ is launched at http://www.the-case.eu. (more information here: https://pilnet.formstack.com/forms/case_website_launch). CASE stands for the Coalition Against SLAPPS in Europe. CASE is a coalition of NGOs from across Europe representing a range of different public watchdogs united in recognition of the threat posed to their work by Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation (SLAPPs), abusive lawsuits designed to silence critical speech. This website will serve as a repository of materials to assist public watchdogs in responding to legal attacks, host research CASE is conducting on legal intimidation and other data, and map out legal services and pro bono lawyers available across Europe. The Human Rights Centre is one of the partners in this broad network of NGOs and organisations advocating for measures in Europe (EU and Council of Europe) against SLAPP.
