Iris Vanwyck's Bio

Iris is a PhD researcher in the research groups Law & Technology and imec-MICT at Ghent University.

Iris takes part in the interdisciplinary research project called SolidLab. Research groups from Ghent University, KU Leuven and VUB work together in this project, which is supported and financed by the Flemish government. The idea behind Solid is to disconnect apps and data through the use of decentralized personal data pods. Iris contributes to this project by assessing the legal aspects of Solid.

Iris obtained the Master of Law degree at Ghent University magna cum laude in 2022. During her master she focused on law and technology, data protection, cybercrime, media law and intellectual property law.
