Liesa Keunen is a joint PhD. Researcher at both Ghent and Antwerp University. At Ghent University, she is part of the research group Law & Technology at Ghent University. She is affiliated with the department of Interdisciplinary Study of Law, Private Law and Business Law. Liesa is a member of the Human Rights Centre and PIXLES (Privacy, Information Exchange, Law Enforcement and Surveillance), both established at the Faculty of Law and Criminology at Ghent University. Liesa is working on the research project “Tax audits on big data: exploring the legitimacy and limits in light of the prohibition of fishing expeditions”. This research is part of a more specific line of research that aims to investigate the impact of big data and algorithmic decisions on different law domains and practices from a human rights perspective.
