Martine Dewulf joined the Human Rights Centre in November 2005 as a secretary. Before that, she studied horticultural engineering (1988) at CTL Gent and Library and Information Science at the University of Antwerp (2005). She joined Ghent University in 2000 as a librarian worker in the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences.
Martine has a passion for information. How to handle the float of information in the job and how to work in a team so that everything goes smoothly is an important goal. She teaches young master students and starting PhD candidates how to find relevant information in the electronic legal databases available within Ghent University and how to search, evaluate and use the information on the world wide web. She maintains several websites.
Her interest in how the university is governed has led her to become a member of the Board of the Faculty of Law from 2012 until 2014 as a Representative of the administrative and technical staff. She was also webmaster for the ATP-Council (the Administrative and Technical Staff Council). From October 2014 till September 2016, she was Coordinator of this Council Board, now she is still a participative member.
