Children’s Rights in the Americas

Studies often deal with children’s rights under the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child or the European Convention on the Rights of the Child, while children’s rights under the American Declaration on the Rights and Duties of Man and the American Convention on Human Rights remain in the periphery. The research aims to provide an in-depth study of both instruments from the perspective of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights through their respective different competences. it will examine the case law of both supervisory bodies.
