Legal Standards regarding Academic Freedom in Latin America
International human rights protect academic freedom. The freedom of community members, individually or collectively, in the pursuit of knowledge is a crucial element for any democracy. However, there are still questions regarding the specific legal standards that are being applied. This thesis will study the legal standards in documents and the case law of the Inter-American human rights system related to academic freedom.
